There is really no easy way to find a date other than being in the right place at the right time. You can go through all of the names in your address book, but that doesn't mean anyone is available for the time you have to spend. Not only that, if you have recently emerged from a long term relationship, it is likely that most of the names in your address book have gone on to other things, and that holds true for both men and women. Once you lose contact with people you used to date, you will find that they are either involved in long-term relationships or have married. That means you now have to start all over again. Even if you weren't involved with someone and simply lost touch with old flames, you will find most of them have lost interest in you.

Does that mean you now have to start all over again meeting new people? For the most part, that is probably true, although some of those you dated in the past may have friends and relatives who are single to looking to meet new people. The easiest way to get a date may be to host a party and ask your friends to bring someone who is unattached. Don't make it obvious, but walk around like a good host, greeting all of your guests, including the ones that you don't know. People tend to be a little more relaxed meeting someone their friends know, and though you don't want to be pushy, you have a chance to talk in a more private setting than if you were to meet at a restaurant or other public place. At the same time, you are also maintaining the meeting in public image since there are other people around you as well. Though not the only way to find a date, this is certainly among the easiest.
